This Week's Plan

A big welcome to our new members James and Gloria - and thanks to all of you who were so helpful - you are what makes our club so special xx

Beginners Class

I want to concentrate this week on really mastering what we've learnt.  So I plan to keep the class quite similar - also allowing those of you who've missed a week or two to catch up.  So we'll do....

A quick warm up with  Dreamworld  with music by Lady Antebellum -   We Owned the Night.

Then a club classic - one of those dances that every line dancer knows, it's popular for a reason!  It's called the Cowboy Charleston and we'll stick to the old favourite (Sex on the Beach) for our music.

followed by the Strollalong Cha Cha - another classic - using Kenny Chesney's She thinks my tractor's sexy...

(I hate to break this to you Kenny... but I don't think it's the tractor she's looking at....)

Next, Simply Mambo.  to Ricky Martin's Livin' la vida loca.

If there's time - Ice Breaker, which you mastered well last week - to Doris Day singing Perhaps.

If there's time we'll squeeze in One Step Forward to Brooks and Dunn's Boot Scootin' BoogieYour World to the Eagles' It's Your World Now and / or Flyin' Sparx.  to the Church on Cumberland Road

Cooling down with One of Those Thing to Michael Jackson's The way you make me feel.

For the in between or before class slot - Simply Nightclub to Elvis!, or the Symphony Shuffle to Lemarr's The way love goes as well as A love worth waiting 4.

Improvers class

Kicking off this week with a brand new dance, officially beginner level - nice and easy but with a tag!  It's called Country Girl and the music is rockin' country by a Canadian band called Doc Walker.

Next  Dance with me tonight to Olly Murs' hit.  (Here's a demo).  This is a 64 counter with a restart, and it's quite quick, so I plan to give this plenty of time for us to master the steps.  It's been no 1 on the dance charts for some weeks now, let's give it a go!

Then Love Heart.and Another Song

If there's time we'll put in Love Song Baby or Toes

Cooling down with Dancing in the Dark.

Lovely!!
